Nice chub caught with a jointed rapala

56cm chub caught on a sunny day in March 2015. Once more, the jointed rapala gold fluorescent proved to be a success! Check out the photos below.
Despite the sunny weather on that day, the water was still very cold and the fish not really active. One landed chub and one trout strike was all I got that day. But hey, at least the chub was big and it fought nicely. I caught it in a shallow bay, close to the shore. I had previously explored that bay with a friend, using 3 different lures but somehow only the jointed rapala managed to attract the attention of that distrustful fatty chub.
It's obviously back in the river, getting even fatter. I'll re-visit the bay later on. It's a good spot for chub when the water is high and slightly dirty.
